Ahhhh now where were we?

So much has been happening around here! I have now had 5 weeks off work with another 2 to go (which are school holidays). I am enjoying every second of it before I start my new job here.

I have been really busy designing blogs. Have been enjoying that so much.

I thought I would share with you some crazy photos of my sister and I as we went through some display homes last weekend (straight from the iphone so excuse the quality).

Colouring is foul – but this little wall was straight off the kitchen – I liked this idea.
I was thirsty! (just tricking)…
Love this idea for in the laundry – floor heating below so things would dry instantly!
Crazy girl she is (and a skinny bitch).
Vomit. Vomit. Vomit. What is the wildlife doing on the blinds and bed??
How cozy does the bed look? Very squishy.
I am on the fence with this rattan style, weaved wallpaper… opinion?
Here is my dream – walkthrough pantry with sink. Normal kitchen outside these walls! So all preparation done in here and mess is closed off. Actual kitchen is for serving.
Need this fireplace (jetmaster)!
Loved the linen lounge. Low, sleek and not fussy.
Why did I like this picture? I forget. Might come back to me….
Deep in thought, discussion and criticsm here.
Louver windows are back. Yes? No? Not in Wagga that’s for sure!
What is this? Why? I was speechless… seriously? It’s a lion.
Poser. And she can be!

Ok, in other news…. My house is for sale. New journey coming. Don’t know what yet. It will be fun and better than before.

Katrina, I love the photo's you too last weekend. Seems like you and your sister had so much fun together.
Silly question? Why on earth was a lion in the house as an ornament?
Cannot wait to see your home on the estate agents web site.
    Thank you for the invite.

Ha, great to see some personal opinions out there! She's still goin' over at my blog, ranting and raving. That'll teach me to have an opinion and publish it! Thanks for the invite pet. A-M xx

You and your sister are a hoot in these display homes. Some interesting ideas. The weave wallpaper would look great in a mid century pad with some funky lamps and danish furniture – it could be made to work. And woo hoo about your house being on the market. Exciting times ahead!

Hi Katrina, well phew, I passed the body search! Love the new blog and all the blog makeovers you have been doing lately. A few fun pics above… I like the computer nook opposite the kitchen. My sister put one in her house to stop her teenage son from hiding away from the world in his room etc.. not a bad idea I thought… The bathroom.. I reckon you like the frameless glass and the drain.. So similar to mine – so just a bit biased. Big news on the house move.. I am hearing of a few bloggers moving house lately… Being in realestate, I am sure you will find something wonderful. Your house is lovely though… Good luck with your new job and enjoy your weekend!

Rattan wallpaper – OMG, i have a roll of original 1960s one that i was going to sell off, for crafting use. that's about the extent I'd go with it, can't believe it has made a comeback?

Good luck with the move and the new job! I can't keep up with your life, lol!!!

By the way, i noticed this the past day or so, and today, that when I come to your blog, I get a popup window from twitter, asking for authentication…??? it says A user name and password are being requested by http://twitter.com. The site says: "Twitter API"
then asks for login details….. this never happened before. wonder if it is just me, or other people too?
    xo

Hey Katrina thanks for the invite to the new blog! Had a laugh at you & your sister at the display home! I love looking through display homes too but I must say sometimes their decorating leaves me speechless!! I definitely love the computer station near the kitchen and the prep kitchen is fantastic also. Looking forward to reading your new blog and good luck with the new job & house sale! Christine x

Thanks for allowing me into the inner sanctum! So to speak! There are some really nice features in this house including that pantry…my whole kitchen would fit in there! Not so sure about the wallpaper. I think it's one of those 'on trend' things…who decides that I wonder?? Good luck with the house sale.

Thanks for the invite Katrina! I am loving that kitchen with the walk through pantry. What I wouldn't give for a decent kitchen. Hope the school holidays are good to you.
