Last night on The Block Octagon we saw the reveal of the living room. I was very underwhelmed. What did you think?? See all the photos below…
[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Luke and Ebony finally got a win! They received a score of 23.5/30. They were praised for delivering a room that could be “lived in”. After all, it is supposed to be the main living area which will come off the kitchen. “I think Luke and Ebony have created for the first time today, a room you can live in,” Neale said.
I liked the blue and natural tones. The artwork idea was good too. I am a big fan of the built tv and wall unit. I do think they could have got a more comfy couch though for the living area?

Darren likes it. I don’t like it! It’s too hipster for this type of apartment. I am not overly in love with any of this room. There just doesn’t seem to be any wow. I don’t like the tree. What is that?? The room felt cheap (I know they didn’t have any budget left – and it shows!).

Although it felt a little bit like a home theatre?? They were criticized for the couch facing away from the view. “I feel like I’m in a home theatre waiting for the movie to start. I don’t feel like I’m in a living room,” Neale said.
Shaynna did not like the yellow couch. “It dates the whole room, it doesn’t feel cool,” said Shaynna.
Do you like the rug? Yeah me too – but I’ll never be able to have it! It was $4,000!!

“I am sorry, that is probably the most hideous thing I have seen in this series…” Shaynna was not happy about the LED fireplace.
I like the couch though – that should have gone in to Luke and Ebony’s room.

You can see they didn’t get to finish the room. What a shame! They decided to flip their kitchen and living room and it meant they were not ready for the reveal. It’s hard to comment on what the room would have looked like, but I am using my imagination and I think it will look very good next week when the kitchen flows off it. We will have to wait and see if the moving of rooms works to their advantage or not. The artwork and leather ottoman get a big tick from me though.
