I love making lists. I love ticking off the jobs once they’re completed. Nothing gives me more satisfaction in know that I’ve achieved something or tackled a big task.
Writing lists, for me, always makes my life seem clearer. If I’m feeling a little muddled up and confused about the direction I want to go, then I start writing lists.
Lists can soothe your soul in so many ways. It doesn’t just have to be for the boring and mundane tasks we do every day. Lists can help you reach your goals and clear your thoughts.
Spend your me time in a quiet place writing lists and goals. Set out some plans and recognise how they can help to shake of the negative energy…
Sometimes I make old-school lists – bills to pay, work to complete, jobs around the house… But the best lists to make are those that challenge you to succeed in the areas you want to. For me, I make a list based on what I would like to acquire, such as a new camera, a cushion, a pair of shoes. I write it down, and carry it in my purse. I visualise that these things will become mine and I truly believe they will. After a few months, I re-visit my list and nine times out of ten I get to cross a few things off and add some more.
I also make lists about what goals I want to achieve professionally and where I want to be in 12 months time. It might be to make contact with someone, chase that blogging goal, get that extra work…
I even write a list when I want to de-clutter my life. I add things like, clean out kitchen top drawer, husband to sort out garden shed, clean out toiletries. There are hundreds of ideas!
Positive energy and positive thoughts always soothe my soul. Instead of believing something won’t happen, I believe it will, I write it down and I know it will happen.
So go and grab that pen! Start writing your lists. Start planning and giving yourself something to look forward to. Re-visit the list often and keep changing it, bettering yourself each time. Use lists to sort your life and get things done!
