Yesterday we decided to take a little trip up to Paddys River Falls. It’s only about an hour from Wagga. We packed some lunch and headed off with our cousins and some friends…

We are at that part of the school holidays when playing with each other and being at home is wearing thin. I said to their Dad we’ve got to get out on the weekend or we will kill each other!

It was a glorious sunny day and a day trip was perfect. First we headed in to the forest to check out a dam which might have been an option for the gang who want to go camping next weekend (and leave me at home – on my own – do I sound excited??). 😉

Then we drove over to the waterfall and trekked down to have a swim and sit under the falls. The kids LOVED it. Said it was the best thing they’ve done. Easily pleased and didn’t cost a thing haha – that’s what I like!

I also have a child who is almost 11 years old who cannot sleep lately. He has been awake crying until at least 1am most nights. You’d think after all the activity yesterday he’d go to sleep, but nooooo there was just a lot of yelling and flipping back the blankets last night. I also sliced my finger on a dog food can earlier so that throbbed all night! Gee whizz! But I am not letting the child who was awake all night sleep in today. I will be making sure he uses every single ounce of energy up today and only eat fruit and healthy food because I am at my wits end with this sleeping thingy! It’ll pass – we’ve been down this road before!

Ok Monday, let’s do this and please be kind to me today because I am running on adrenaline and coffee. 😉

Hope you all have a great week ahead.

♥ KC.

It’s a great spot up there 😉 Adelong falls is another great little spot too…check out Sue Dengate’s Fed Up book for your son – it’s easy to read. She also has a FB page. Roman Chamomile from Healthy Life is a great essential oil to help with relaxing. And Adairs to a bedtime essential oil spray you spray on the room at bedtime. I feel your pain. Sleep deprivation is the pits. I hope it’s just a phase that will soon pass ????

Try some magnesium supplements for your son. They help me sleep like a baby.
