I’ve been sort of watching House Rules. I have always loved the concept of the show, but it does not compare to the quality of rooms on Reno Rumble. However, I am hooked on the characters over on House Rules! I love watching them all. Danielle is my favourite. She cracks me up.
While I cringe at some of the styling, I think they might be improving each week and I think that’s what I love the most – seeing them develop. I feel sorry for the judges trying to be so positive and diplomatic sometimes!
But in saying that, my favourite room this week was done by Danielle and Ben – Andrew’s room inside Steve and Tiana’s house…
Andrew is 23 (Tiana’s brother and Steve’s son) and I thought Ben and Danielle did a great job of the room. The best features were the artwork, the LED strip lights (around the ceiling) and the disco lights under the bed. Oh my teenager would be in heaven if he had those! I’m not normally a fan of red, but that was a part of the House Rules… and I think Danielle and Bed did really well with it. They chose a nice red and worked it with the greys and blacks.
My least favourite couple is Brian and Karina. I hope now they settle down with their “design ideas” and listen to the rules. Hopefully now they might show us something a little more restrained…
Is that right that the couples come back to each house and can fix one room plus the gardens outside still need to be done? I can’t remember…
