Tips and Tricks for the new iOS7 on Apple Devices

You know I am a bit of a nerd right? Well of course a new piece of technology will get me excited (and most of my boys!). Yesterday afternoon we had a funny few hours. The kids got home from school and I said “iOS7”. 2 of them went in to overdrive and were hunting for cords and their devices (the littlest kid could not care less haha!). They started downloading whilst they had afternoon tea… then they played cricket outside with the neighbours until dark, then came inside to start playing and fiddling with the new technology. My 11 year old found some great new tricks and we started reading online about other tricks… He wrote me a list so I thought I would put together this really quick 5 minute video to show you what we found!

That was pretty easy and cool hey?

Let me know if you know of any other cool tricks I might need to know about…

PS. I realise it still has some bugs and I expect it will be cleaned up in a few days. My kids said they had troubling downloading some apps.

Have a great day. XX

LOOOOVED this video – Loved how you have the phone there and you are going through each step (without seeing your hands) very ‘high tech’ !! I’m must in the last minutes of upgrading and am not even more excited !! I love how the photos are sorted – I’m desperate for this as I have over 6,000 photos !! Crazy but true !! (I love a snap !) Look forward to your future videos on Instagram !! Have a fab Friday !! Hx

Thanks so much, this was brilliant. Especially liked closing all the apps running in the background. I had every app open and wondered why my battery drained!!

How did you get your phone on the laptop screen?
    Great video.
I have it on my iPad, only took 7 mins!
iPhone doesn't have enough space so will have to turn on the laptop for once and delete the photos to make room!

Thanks for all the great tips! I was stumped on how to close the apps to save the battery power … I love the shutter speed on the camera 🙂

Katrina, you are a gem. Just updated my phone and your tutorial was so helpful. I love the new look. My very technical savvy husband was having a meltdown and the thought of using it. Your tutorial sorted him out. Thanks a million you’ve saved my Saturday! lol

Hi Katrina, any idea why newly purchased songs no longer upload to the ‘purchased’ playlist?
