The seasons and the phases

Hi there!

On Saturday I was teaching a group of ladies about social media but it always turns in to a huge motivational session. I always come away inspired by others and hopefully I’ve inspired them too…

One thing I always get asked is how I fit everything in to my day. I work a lot and I can easily spend 10 hours one day blogging, designing and coaching. Then I can easily take a week off… I change it around all the time.

This kind of chat got us on the idea of ‘phases’. You know, when your life goes through certain phases – brand new baby – no time. Kids at school – maybe a little bit more time.

A lady with older children said she calls it seasons

Another lady had little kids – not yet at school and she is bursting to learn something new. She’s looking for a challenge, but is exhausted at the thought of fitting it all in…

I promised her it won’t always be like that.

See, 4 years ago there was no way I could work from home, run a couple of blogs AND raise 3 boys. My husband works long hours, so I was sure I’d never get the chance to do anything for me. I thought that I was going to be home with kids FOREVER… but it’s hard to see (at the time) that they DO get older. They DO get easier. They learn how to look after themselves, they can be patient and they will go to sleep.

It’s all about riding out the ‘seasons’ and letting things just be…

you have as many hours as day beyonce

I have the same amount of hours in the day as Beyonce.

Love that quote! Hilarious!

We all have the same amount of hours in the day and we CAN all achieve huge things. I never stop. I am always thinking about ‘making time’. BUT, I’m in that season where my kids are at school 5 days week. Some days I ace it. Some days I’m horrible at it.

So, to all my lovely readers who wonder whether they will ever get time to do all the things they want to do – you CAN and you will!

Are you feeling a little washed out? Stressed for time?
