This is how my day ended up… ha! If you didn’t see yesterdays post, Amie and I went to Melbourne to meet with a designer.
Amie seemed to nail her decisions. I just couldn’t get it right. It was a long day (plus I started a new trial drug so I spent ages at the hospital getting that sorted).
So we are having our dresses made by a top designer and all of these dresses (on the clean floor!) were supposed to give me ideas and combinations to come up with my own dress. I just couldn’t get the right style happening. I went in with a pile of images ready to go, but walked out realising NONE of those suited me. Which was fine, because I wasn’t to know!
I don’t think I’m a big girl by any means, but I will say it was hard to fit my shape. No wonder half of the girls on tv are a size 6 – they can choose any style and fabric! I found it really hard.
So over night I’ve been thinking and trawling the internet. I have worked out what I need on the top half of me – it’s just the bottom half and the fabric I’m trying to nut out…
I think we’ll be right. I just have to trust that the dress will look magnificent on me. I’ve never had a couture dress like this before. It’s foreign. Apparently it’s better to be overdressed on the red carpet than under-dressed. I don’t want to get it wrong as this will be my one and only red carpet event.
But, no matter what, I can’t wait to show you all what I decide to wear!
