Stunning Sunday: “The White House”

You may have seen this white Hampton’s beauty floating around on Instagram or in the housey mags? Fashion and interior stylist Natalie Winter is selling her property, which has been transformed from a workers cottage in to a stunning statement home. It makes my heart flutter a little bit! I would have loved to see some more full room photos, but they are mostly just up close shots (why is real estate doing that these days when the property is for sale??). Anyway, I still think this home would be stunning in real life.

The house is located in Paddington, Brisbane.

“The Whitehouse” standing stately, perched proudly on a prime corner block, this breathtaking transformation of a humble traditional worker’s cottage, has become Paddington’s most anticipated address. Beyond the all white Hampton’s beach house facade, beckons a luxurious, yet relaxed indoor outdoor lifestyle of all year round Queensland living. This home is a statement, featured prominently in national media publications, as a charming example of the very best of true Queensland style, harmoniously blending the very latest of high end finishes including Basketweave french oak floors, stone, and eco brass tapware, providing a contemporary, yet timeless re-invention of traditional living. – Agent.

The home is being sold by Ray White New Farm. All images are owned by the agency.

Happy Sunday ♥ KC.

Its funny how you become a critic of strange proportions when you have done many renovations. It certainly is a nice house but Im finding it overly decorated- there is so much in the master and the Living area that my eye doesn’t settle anywhere (might be different in the flesh). Also one thing you cant change isa being on an exposed small corner block – but hey some people might like that?! Also the pics show up a cream look which I think is off and the black in parts too heavy – hard mix to get right…some people think a monochrome palette is easier but Id disagree ….anyhow its always great seeing homes to make you think more internally about what you like yourself. Think Nikki Parkinson did a photo shoot here last week and I thought that the pool looked so cramped…..x
