Morning! How was your weekend? If you
stalk follow me on Instagram you’ll see that my weekend was consumed by football! It was a rather busy (and freezing) weekend…
Saturday was spent at a carnival for rugby league. My boys played like little superstars (I was freezing and numb by the time I got home!). If you’ve been reading my blog for a while you’ll realise that we’re pretty serious about rugby league in our house. It consumes my family and I can never hide from it. They watch nothing else on tv during the winter months. All three boys are obsessed! Then my eldest also plays AFL on Sunday’s… I have heard from my husband that my other 2 kids will also be playing AFL next year. There goes Saturday AND Sunday 😉
Then on Sunday we made the trek to Canberra to watch our favourite team – Melbourne Storm. Canberra is only 2 + 1/2 hour drive for us, so we can go up and back in a day. And when I say “our favourite team” I mean that I am totally happy to watch Storm play any time but I am not as obsessed by footy as the rest of my family. I lose it quite often when it rules my tv!
Of course, it was raining and freezing AGAIN. We haven’t had any sunshine in Wagga for a LONG time. No wonder I have woken up again today with a head cold thing. Argh – bring out some SUN please! I need a mood change and some sunshine will help! 😉
Cruise made a sign for Billy. He spent ages doing it. Bless him!
We had quite good seats and I was surprised. We were up so high! But could see the game so well. I have never sat that high before I am sure this is just the Canberra Stadium as I can’t remember other stadiums being so high. I heard a guy say “you wouldn’t want to be scared of heights!” True.
How good was the game if you watched it on TV last night? We smashed the Raiders! It was a great game to be at…
Yes, as soon as we got home last night my family watched the game again on tv. I went straight to bed!
Here are my boys on the way home. Yep, all 3 of them went out like a light (the other child was facing the other way and I couldn’t fit him in the photo!). They were all exhausted from such a big weekend of football. They now have plenty of news to tell at school this week.
And we shall begin our week again with more footy on the tv, training sessions, front yard footy and of course lots of competition games on the weekend ahead.
