Our washing regime

Yes, while we still had a house to renovate, we had to do our washing! Of course, we had no running water for about the first 3 weeks, so this was it… trips to a local laundromat. We would take our laptops and phones. We’d do the budget, research stuff or make all of our phone calls to tradies.
Our clothes were always extra filthy!

I can only imagine the state the clothes were in.

Did you have to do the extra intensive loads?

Was there a coffee bar near by to?

    Have a lovely day

    Hi katrina
I was like a little sulking kid last night when you didnt win the challenge. You and Amie put your heart and soul into that challenge and to lose it by a fraction of a second was just too much for me. You girls get the most air play you know, that means you are their biggest draw card. Believe me when I say all my friends totally relate to you and are cheering you on as well.

Last Night I so wanted you in that Bath!….Mabey if Waz stopped knocking your stuff over/off the water would've made it through on time! Dammit!

hi trina, I just finished watching tonight's show and what can I say – I feel for you both. As you may or may not know, i just finished a major reno on a 130yo house, near Ballarat (I did a blog on it mytowncottage).

It was a huge task, and due to financial matters, I had to finish asap, no stuffing around and I only finished recently – hence I got smacked in the face with 8am starts at 2 DEGREES!!!! ouch.

It was def a 6day a week job for a couple of months, on my own – cept for – you guessed it – tradies. hmmmm. Let me just say from the outset, you two are incredible. Firstly, let's discuss your "trippin" builder/carpenter (the show referred to him as both??). Which one I ask to myself? Anyway, we'll say builder, $7K for 4 days. This is absurd. This is an example of someone who a) takes too many drugs, b) someone who does not get call backs. I can assure you, if he were on my site, he would have wiped that smirk off his (conniving) impungent face way back. Seriously – you gotta run from tradies like that. Of course all the things I could say about this episode, and I have so many, are irrelevant, you've probably finished the house by now. However I think it prudent to say (which of course no doubt you have identified – but rest assured we as viewers DO see), not only did you have to deal with these kind of ignoramuses (without immediate family support), you did so with immense restraint and dignity, and you kept moving forward. I had tradies (and people) telling me I couldn't do this, or that, but ultimately I could. EG. My tiler cancelled on me (by simply not turning up!!) on day so I rang around like a mad woman on a sat avo, to have a new tiler organised for the next day (ie. Sunday) to finish the job. YES I got one, YES he was great, YES he was professional, and yes he was a tad expensive, but you know, EVERYONE said I couldn't. I see this tenacity in you and especially AMIE. Quite remarkable, and unique. It is no "chance" that you were on that show in that competition. Anyways, I have no idea how you coped with cameras in your face the whole time too, as if to further distract you from the task, which really was a difficult one. I agree with your comment that having your hubby there would have made things diff. I especially understand this remark. looking forward to seeing more of you guys kicking ass!

    GOOD LUCK!!!
