My first blog started in 2006…

I was asked yesterday (after writing about never ever looking back) about my early blogging days and I thought I should share some of those blogs with you…

This picture above is from a blog I started called Little La La’s. It started April 10, 2007.

It was a blog I created to promote some homewares I was selling as a hobby on ebay back when I had really little babies.

Before that blog I had a private family blog where I tested my ‘blogging’ skills. It was called The Chambo’s House and it too began on blogspot. I started that in about October 2006.

After Little La La’s I started Katrina Chambers using blogspot, but that has since been merged with this blog now on wordpress.

I then started writing this blog called A Very Fine House (I was going through a rustic key phase haha) in 2010, with Julie-Ann from The Decorating Forum.

So that means I’ve been here writing a whole lot of stuff (crap!) for about 5 and 1/2 years.

I love looking back at the old stuff. Boy I went through some hair styles, fashion styles and went from fat to skinny about 3 times haha! In the blogs are photos of 4 houses: 1 was a rental, 1 we bought, 1 we renovated and 1 we built.

The best bit is looking back on my babies and how they’ve grown. These blogs are for them. I’ve written about sad stuff, happy stuff… I’ve complained and I’ve shared my incredible highs.

No regrets.

They can pull up these blogs in the years to come and be reminded of how I felt and what we were doing.

You can see how I went from little or no blogging knowledge to now designing and teaching about blogging!

I’ve done the hard yards…

BUT this doesn’t mean I know it all. Oh no way! I’ve got a loooooong way to go. This is just the beginning!

Hope you’ll continue to share my journey as I welcome you in to my life every day like I have for the past 5 years.

XO

And I remember them all so that must mean I have been around for a while too. I am sure there are a heap of us that knew (blog knowledge only of course so very different to personally knowing)Katrina before she was Katrina from the block. We have loved watching, learning and being inspired by all that you have done both personally and professionally. Keep up the great work and praying you are well at this time. xox

I have only been blogging for about 9 months, in that time I have already learnt alot about myself and connected with amazing people. Yet, I don’t think my blog has one direction or purpose, but I am happy to continue writing about what makes me happy.

Love your blog and look forward to sharing your future journies with you. Xx

It would be cool to see a montage of all the blog headers you’ve had in your 5 1/2 years, K. One of the fun things about you is that because you’re a blog designer, you always make the best changes and are cutting edge! The rusty keys were probably very big in 2010. x

I should so do that! I have lots of headers saved. Yes, I change my mind too often!

I started in 2006! Gosh. When I look back I see bad photography and bad colours! Apart from that, I have no regrets with the content. It was all very crafty back then. Now, I’m all about vintage and candles. Who knows what it will be in another 6 years.
But here you go, have a squizz = http://www.mummyjo.blogspot.com.au/2006_04_01_archive.html

That’s impressive!! Love reading your blog, but only came on board with Katrina From the Block. We’ve been blogging almost 2 years and it’s hard to believe. Lots of fun and wonderful people have been met along the way!!

Love this post Katrina. It’s so nice looking back at our journeys to remind ourselves how far we really have come.

Time really passes swiftly, right? It amazes me to know about bloggers who are religiously maintained their blogs for years.
