Living Rooms

When I jump on to Pinterest I always find myself searching the words “Living Rooms”. I never tire of searching for pretty rooms. Lately I’ve been wanting to spruce up the cushions, paint something or rearrange things. The change of season always makes me want to move stuff around. When it’s cold we can’t open the windows, and sometimes I don’t even open the blinds because it’s so cold and I am trying to keep the heat in!

This long weekend we have a big project going on at our house – tiling our outdoor area. Can’t wait to show you that! I’m picking up the tiles today. BUT then I want my next project to be a skylight. There is one spot in my home (in my home office which comes off our living area) that is really dark and I always seem to have to put a light on… I feel like my living area is a little too dark.

So, while I am drooling over light and bright living rooms, I am patiently waiting for a time (and the money) to get the skylight happening…

Have you put a skylight in before?
What’s your favourite room to drool over on Pinterest?

I ❤️ Pinterest. Always on there drooling over new things and ideas. Love sharing ideas with my FB fans too.
I would love to put a skylight in in my lounge/hallway, I have one under the house just haven’t done anything about it.
    Happy long weekend and tiling.

Yep we have put in numerous skylights! Best things ever!

We had 4 skylights installed the year before last, geez they have made a huge difference to our lighting… I always go to switch off the light then realise it’s not on 🙂 2 in separate living areas, 1 in a small internal bathroom & 1 in our internal home office! Go for it xx

How exciting to be starting another project….look forward to seeing the results! I always forget to use the search option on Pinterest! I usually log in and check out my feed, pin those appropriately inspiring and then that’s it! I do search if looking for something specific though rarely. Skylights can transform an area with light. Am always aware of heat transfer in summer though too…
