I am calling for a new bed and someone is excited

For how many years should you have your bed?  I’ll tell you mine if you tell me yours?

I’m starting to think mine is disgraceful! I’ve been married 12 years and we purchased it before that! Oh dear.

So I mentioned to Mr Chambo last week maybe we should get a new bed…

You know what? He was all for it, rabbiting on and on about it and getting all excited. I was a little confused as to why he would take such interest in a bed?? I mean, if I asked him to buy a new lounge, a sideboard or a dining table, he’d mumble and and groan, but the second I said “new bed” he jumped at it…

I burst out laughing when I realised it’s only because he loves sleeping so much. He goes to bed at 8.30pm every night and never seems to get enough sleep. Most people spend 2/3 of their lives sleeping but I am sure Mr Chambo spends 3/4 of his.

So, I had a quick look around and realised that beds can be soooo expensive! I’ve lost my enthusiasm. It’s not fun looking at beds anymore. Too many choices!

Maybe I should let Mr Chambo shop this one out on his own? (Pft..yeah right lol!).

Have you got and bed tips for me?

PS. I’m drawing the winner of my wallpaper giveaway tomorrow! Last chance to enter is here.
PPS. Bear with any changes on my blog over the next few days as I’m going over to wordpress. I’m doin’ it (I think)…

I’m loving canopy beds at the moment. They can work even in small rooms provided you don’t fluff up too much with extra cushions/bedding.

Oh Honey…seriously…you will be in bed heaven when you do…it will be worth the headache.
Pete and I were suffering from horrible back pains in the morning from our bed
( which was probably even older than you and Mr Chambo have been married) so we decided to bite the bullet and get a new mattress…we have an ensemble..so we kept the base and purchase the mattress only…which cost us close to $700…but I cannot express enough just how amazing it has been since..super comfy…no back aches..and my bed even looks heaps better now because it sits higher and my new white comforter is no longer dragging on the ground. I know its big dollars to fork out in one heap…but if you can afford to do it…..than do it….will be money well spent ; )

This was us just before Xmas – same amount of time with current bed ( longer.. ) and then the excitement and then the let-down due to choice, cost etc… :/
