House update: We have roof trusses and windows!

Isn’t she looking pretty?? I am in love (with timber frames and windows!). Doesn’t take much to please me when it comes to this new house. Excited.

We have a verandah running across the front and a triple car garage. Husband is in heaven! He’s been wandering around in it already.

High ceilings, lots of pitch and detail in the roof… it’s all coming together. Wait until the roof sheeting goes on. I will be squealing even more then.

But maybe I’ll squeal more when the cladding/weatherboard goes on outside!

Hanging out in the kitchen already…

The kids are on the back pergola.

Husband loves the roof height.

Kids bedroom windows… I am so happy I decided to go with these.

I’ve been sneaking up to the house every evening. It’s our nightly ritual. I haven’t been going up in the day because I didn’t want to annoy my builder! Ha! I think he’s grateful I am not in his face!

I have had the busiest week ever so far. I am too busy to even eat (but I love it).

Here are some of the things I’ve been doing:

  • I’m playing “Live with The Crew” with our local radio station. I have a cardboard cut-out and each day I have a task to complete with him. This sees me going all around town getting photos. Here was one from Monday.
  • I am teaching at the Riverina Community College next year. I’m doing a 1-night a week course on social media + a series of interior design workshops. So I’ve been working out course outlines.
  • I launched Under 1oo dollars. OMG that is bigger than I expected. Thank you. I have so many goodies coming up to show you.
  • I started some social media work for Kidspot + I’m writing for Kidspot.
  • I am trying to finish up some blog designs.
  • PLUS, I am trying to keep this little blog interesting for you (thank you for coming over to read my dribble).
I also have the usual stuff, trips away, Christmas parties, wee to clean off the toilet, food to cook… you know! But I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Hope you’re all having a lovely week! See you tomorrow. X

Very exciting Katrina, hope it all keeps going well. I love the high windows in the boys rooms.
Speaking of the boys, it’s very considerate of them to make sure, that no matter what else is going on in your life, you’ll always feel grounded and secure by cleaning the wee off the toilet!

There’s always wee to remind me of what life is really all about.

Your high ceilings are going to be beautiful and I for one am dying for an outdoor shot with all the weatherboard on. We are almost at this stage of building! So great walking through the house (my dad is building it, so we get to go through whenever we like!). Do you mind me asking the width of your double hungs a the front?? Our frames allow for 900mm wide, but I think that’s a bit much!! I’m worried!
