Floor Plan Friday: U-shaped 5 bedroom family home

ushapefloorplan

Oooo this is a goodie today. A big house, but still a really good plan. I love a u-shaped house… I always imagine a pool and outdoor area fit for a king in all of that enclosed space. I wouldn’t need to change anything in this house.

It’s got a formal lounge, theatre room plus an activity area. There’s also a computer nook tucked away.

The triple car garage is perfect and the 5th bedroom really makes this a spacious home. You’d need a large block for this house, or even a corner block because of the side garage access.

If the back outdoor area had a roof over it (or even partial roof) you’d need couple of big skylights in the kitchen/family area as that would become quite dark.

What do you think about this one?

Not my plan but you can check out more of the plan plus some facade ideas over here.

Happy Friday! ♥ KC.

      Hi
I was wondering if you have the answer to the square footage of the u shape house and if there are any pictures.
      Thanks

Sorry not sure, the link to the original owner is above and they can help. Thanks.

I love this open plan. We are in the process of getting our plan drawn up. As we have the perfect size block, its like a boomerang shape.

Wish I could see what the front sides and rear view would look like.

3way bath and bedrooms 2 and 3 need to be realigned. Bath is in a bad location.
What about in the middle as a Jack and Jill.

The u-shaped 5 bedroom house do you have any pictures of what the front of the house looks like.

Beautifully functional design. Bravo! My suggested modifications:

    1. Change bathroom on left from 3 way, into two smaller bathrooms with private entrance from the respective bedrooms, each with smaller glass door enclosed shower, toilet and sink.

    2. Turn hallway linen closet on right wing near kitchen /master bedroom into dry sauna.

    3. Turn linen closet near master bedroom into small secondary washer dryer laundry room.

    4. Make the doors to theatre area large mahagony wood pocket doors, and put the flat screen on an angle in the corner and an extra large sectional sofa in opposite corner for multiple people to lay on together rather than seperated theatre-style seats which are less personal and more sterile.

    5. Replace sliding doors in home theatre and formal lounge rooms with large windows.

Does anyone know where to find the specifics of this floor plan (square footage, etc.) or where I am able to order the blueprint from? Thanks!
