Floor Plan Friday: Modern twist on a family home

Here’s a nice floor plan for a normal residential block. What I immediately liked is the multipurpose room. It’s an office and lounge area which has bi-fold windows opening on to the alfresco. I also really like the front verandah. You can see that below in the front elevation photo. That’s a nice look and a little different from a lot of homes in built up residential streets.

I also think the dressing room in the master is a winner! Good kitchen too and good positioning of the laundry. Plus the hobby room is a cool idea if you work from home.

If you’d love to see more great floor plans then click here. If you have a floor plan you’d like me to look over before you build, please email me or BUY my services then scan and email them to me.

I will spend 2 hours looking over your plan and email back a detailed list of suggestions for changes. I can’t guarantee changes will be needed as your plan may already be perfect in my eyes. But for peace of mind I can either list some suggestions, or let you know how jealous I am of your soon-to-be new home.

very very nice. the colours used are beautiful. I also like the hobby room. A place to start things and not have to pack them up all the time. Could also turn into a study if one wishes it.

I’ve designed and built a few houses for my wife and I but this plan is so simple and practical . I simply love it would need to introduce more storage.
