Making life easy with the Fisher & Paykel Double DishDrawer™ Dishwasher

Brought to you by Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer™.

I’ve been trialling the new Fisher & Paykel Double DishDrawer Dishwasher in my kitchen over the past 2 weeks. How good does it look sitting there in place? I was so excited when it landed at my house. If I am being totally honest the dishwasher that was there before was a very very cheap one we pulled out of a rental house and had intentions of upgrading when we moved into our house, but we never did. It’s been a thorn in my side. It was bulky and less glamorous, so when the new Double DishDrawer™ Dishwasher arrived I could not wait to give it a whirl.

I’m pretty fussy about my kitchen and when I designed my own I knew exactly how I wanted it to look. I also knew it needed to be practical to suit my 3 boys (plus a husband!). The kitchen is a natural extension of the living area and we spend a lot of time in here. If my girlfriends pop over, we usually sit around the island bench.

With so many kitchen styles available it can be hard to shape that perfect kitchen. Modern, contemporary, sleek, minimal, dark, light…? The list goes on. Combining charm, plus functionality is a big must though isn’t it? No matter your style, I can truly recommend that this gorgeous Double DishDrawer™ Dishwasher will suit any kitchen decor. Even though I have quite a traditional (maybe even a bit French Country/Hamptons style?) kitchen I am rapt with how good-looking she is.

HERE ARE 3 THINGS TO CONSIDER IF YOU’RE UPGRADING YOUR KITCHEN

  1. Style– This comes down to your personal choice but seeing as the kitchen is an extension of living we’re making them prettier and more stylish than ever.
  2. Layout– When designing a kitchen you don’t always have to think of the traditional ‘triangle’ principle. Today it is all about creating flexibility and allowing your appliances to work in with you.
  3. Function– The kitchen is fast becoming the entertaining hub of our homes. About 60% of Aussies cook two to three times a week for friends and family, meaning a functional kitchen with easy to use appliances is becoming increasingly important.

If you’re looking at updating your kitchen, or you’re building a new house and want something that looks amazing, is sleek and of course practical then take a look at the Double DishDrawer™ Dishwasher. The dimensions of the Double DishDrawer™ Dishwasher product means it slides easily into the existing cabinetry for a standard dishwasher. So if you’re a renovator don’t stress, it’ll fit in nicely to any old space you have. Or of course, your builder can pop it into any new kitchen.

HERE’S WHAT I’VE ALSO NOTICED…

Cleaning
The cleaning is a lot less than my old stainless steel one. The high quality, EZKleen stainless steel finish used means you just need to wipe it over so to keep it spotless.

Less bending
Designed with ergonomics in mind, the unique ‘dishwasher in a drawer’ design of the Double DishDrawer™ Dishwasher means less bending is required to load and unload dishes. YES! Love that one.

Storage
The drawers in the Double DishDrawer™ Dishwasher are independently operated meaning that one can function as an extra storage drawer whilst the other is in use! I can wash one smaller load and more frequently which means less dishes lying around.

Noise
I noticed how quiet the Double DishDrawer™ Dishwasher is compared to my old one. Putting a cycle on while we’re watching TV at night or while we’re in bed doesn’t disturb the house at all.

I have 3 boys, so as you can imagine we go through A LOT of food. It never ends. I have found being able to use one drawer to just get the breakfast dishes done so much easier and less stressful when dinner rolls around and we need to use bowls or spoons from the morning. I’ve tested all the cycles and just use a Fast Cycle for the breakfast bowls, then switch to the Normal load when we need to wash any baking dishes. There is also a Sanitize wash modifier option which raises the temperature of the final rinse to a temperature that will sanitize your dishes. Perfect for after messy food, or this is a great idea if you’ve had someone sick in the house.

There you go! What a great addition to any kitchen. Time saving, quiet, sleek and so easy to use. Check out the full range of Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer™ over here.

We had one in our last house! Brilliant… easy to clean…. quiet….. and very functional. However it broke down half a dozen times when first installed. Once fixed brilliant machine!

I love the original one that’s curved. It also looks bigger on the inside that could fit more than the newer ones
