How easy does a garden trellis look? I think they are such an awesome addition to a black wall in the garden. I am going to create one myself next weekend – I have the perfect spot! I think I’ll choose a Jasmine vine. They have a deep green leaf and a beautiful white flower. I want to train it in to the criss-cross shape. Reckon I can do it??
I went looking on Pinterest for some other ideas and thought I’d share those with you today. A trellis is reasonably inexpensive and can be done in only a couple of hours (less if you just use a wire pattern!).

The one above has a great tutorial in the link using a piece of fencing. It looks like a great option to screening in the yard.

Another easy tutorial in the image link above. This project cost less that $20 plus the ivy.

Add a planter box to the bottom and stain to suit your colouring.

I found this one via google images and can’t find an original link, but it looks like a perfect way to screen off garbage bins or anything ugly you want to hide. Let the vine grow all over it and it’ll look fantastic!

This is different! Using 2 old doors in the garden with the glass removed. Not sure how they are standing… I’d have to think that through a bit. What would you do?

Oh I love this one above! The dark fence and criss-cross ivy. There’s a tutorial in the image link. Love it!

You can buy these simple pre-made trellis pieces from a hardware store and then mount to the wall. A climbing rose looks so pretty.

Again, the criss-cross pattern. I like the dark mixed with the green heading.
