I’m bragging today. I wanted to throw it out to

I’m bragging today. I wanted to throw it out to the universe to say I’m so proud of this kid. I always wished I could wrap him in cotton wool, but he never would let me! He’s so independent and determined to do things his way. I love him for that.

This one has officially ticked off his carpentry apprenticeship today. It wasn’t always an easy ride! But he stuck with it. I am in awe of his persistence (and sometimes struggle) to stay on this path. He left school when he was 16 and now at 20 he’s got this qualification under his belt. Today he leaves that job, is having a week on the Goldy then he comes back to start a whole new career in excavation. He’s wanted to do it for so long and I’m so happy he’s bettering himself, trying new things and just going for it.

PLUS, did you know he’s going to be a Dad in early March?? OMG, I know! What a surprise and a big fat joy. Yep I’ll be a grandma! I am so excited.

All I know in life is that no one has a crystal ball. You go with what you can in the moment. You never stop learning. I know he’s a lot like me… always busy, always doing something, always trying to get ahead and knows that you get nothing in life for free.

I have used some serious cropping here to make you think this room is all done and renovated. 🤣 Nope, far from it! I have this master bedroom and ensuite to go. It’s just a regular sized bedroom with built in cupboards, with yucky paint and the worst carpet ever! It’ll be ripped apart at the same time as the ensuite so I can spray paint and lay the vinyl floors all in one go. I’m just waiting on the special order to arrive at Bunnings for the wet area bathroom VJ and then it’s all go, go, go!

Renovating two houses over the last 18 months has

Renovating two houses over the last 18 months has taken a lot out of me. Also trying to work, navigate a separation, look after my own health and keep myself together has been a lot. I am still struggling, but when I feel a bit flat I look back over old videos and recognise that I have come a long way. I have been so determined to get these houses done. I’ve had lots of help, don’t get me wrong, I’m not a tradie! I still have a bit to do, but I can feel the end is getting closer. Then it’ll be time for new projects and new things 💪🏻 But I’ll look back and realise that I had to make stuff happen, no one was going to do it for me. ✅
