Best indoor cacti

We all know a cactus is pretty hard to kill (but not impossible ha!). But if you’re looking for a little bit of greenery with some interesting shapes, then a cactus in a pot will be perfect. Pop them on a shelf, group some taller styles in a corner, or even hang them. Here’s a few style you might like to hunt for when you’re at the nursery next (or even check your Facebook Marketplace).

Angel Wings Cactus – Also known as a Bunny Ear Cactus. They can flower too. I love how they can grow in all directions and these are super easy to look after.

Rat Tail Cactus – trailing plant that sends out long stems with short, fine spines. The overall color of the plant is green when young but the stems age to an almost beige colour.

African Milk Tree (Euphorbia) – they grow well in full or partial light. I love the shape and how tall these can grow.

Saguaro Cactus – a tree like cactus that can grow quite slim and tall.

Bishop’s Cap – very easy to grow, no spikes but has a fine white hair over it.

Christmas Cactus – can grow through rocks, or in pots and even start trailing so also good for a hanging pot. Flowers with a red looking bell.

Barrel Cactus – can be found in many shapes and sizes, long and fat. It has big yellow spines.
