Bespoke textile artist, Philippa Wilkinson, is the creative force behind PipWilly; the innovator behind hand-painted, hand-printed interior and fashion fabrics to love.
Philippa’s creative journey began with her degree at Paddington’s College of Fine Arts. Being passionate about all things art and design; and combining that with her exceptional drawing skills and commercial industry experience – has resulted in her own range of fashion and interior fabrics that are at once, beautiful, and effortless.
It is Philippa’s keen eye for detail, sensitive line work and her retaining a conceptual hand–drawn spontaneous design approach, that truly sets her work apart from the masses of computer-generated prints.
Her inspirations and sensitivities are drawn from extensive travel and from nature – from immersing herself in her immediate surroundings – inviting others in.
Presently Philippa runs ‘Circle of Designers’ promoting Independent Textiles Designers’ work. The designers involved have chosen the medium of textiles in their practice. Each designer brings a signature look and feel to their independent fabric range which creates a wonderful variety and arty signature for the fashion range.
