Around here lately

This is week has been pretty busy but not too tiring. The kids went back to school (hooray!) so I finally got to catch up on some emails…

This weekend is one I have been longing for… no huge commitments with only touch footy this arvo, but absolutely nothing tomorrow! I don’t think we’ve had a spare Sunday here for about 4 months! My husband has even promised to go to the tip! Why do I get so excited about rubbish?? This means I might even get the chance to attack some cupboards and clean out the winter clothes in preparation of summer.

Another good reason to have a clean out is because I feel like things need a cull and life in general around here needs a tidy up. Winter just seemed so long and boring and stuffy. I need to make way for new energy to flow in to this house. Do you get like that too at the change of the seasons?

My roses are starting to bloom again. My husband has been manicuring the garden. Our lawn always struggles with a winter weed, but as the weather warms up it’s slowly dying off. That’s why I love Spring because everything just looks better.

My friend Bec has had her 4th chemo treatment and is doing it tough. She is still being positive but she’s unwell and my thoughts are always of her.

Amie (my sister) moved in to her new house last weekend. I can’t wait to see it all put together. I’m heading there Monday night for a sleep over.

My boys all start cricket next week. A change of sports of course! No one sits still here. My husband is even coaching one of the teams.

Why didn’t I know Homeland was back on tv?! They snuck that one in. Had to catch up last night. It would have to be my favourite show. I wonder how it will all work now that Brody’s gone? Do you watch it? I read online there is a hint he might come back? Plus where is the baby? Did I miss that part?

I feel pretty good at the moment with my crohn’s. The Humira seems to be working well. I’m off to Melbourne next week for a check up at the hospital. This stint is the longest I’ve felt well. Usually I only last about 3 months before I am sick again. Yippee for that. I do have horrible skin though, but I guess I can’t have it all.

Anyway, hope you have a great weekend ahead. X

Yesss! Love Homeland!! It was a double ep this week! The baby was in the 2nd half … you’ll have to do more catch up 😉
I haven’t heard Brody was coming back, but I was thinking “I bet he’s not dead” !! So, glad to see it might happen …

Are you talking Homeland on Foxtel or free to air? I got rid of Foxtel and I think I have a while to wait until free to air catches up 🙂

Free to air. I think it’s 9.30pm Monday nights. X
