Hi there! How have you all been? Still in school holidays or are they over? We’re coming to the end of ours and I have this huge urge to cull and rearrange my house! I feel like I am drowning in stuff. So much traffic through my house in the hols… next week I am going to dedicate an entire day to getting on top of things. Sounds crazy when you get excited about a cleaning day haha!
On Sunday we took a trip to Canberra with a heap of friends to watch Storm play Raiders. It started out a glorious sunny day, but then it rained and we got wet. But Cameron Smith waved to me so I quickly stopped worrying about being drenched! 😉
Here we are after the game. Reckon we love Melbourne Storm? I love this photo because it’s not too staged and is just us.
My boys started their rugby league season on Saturday. They loved being back. So do I. I am the secretary of our club so it’s fun being involved in the running of it. My big boy has a new position on the field this year and the smile on his face is priceless. I’ve never seen him play as good as he did on Saturday. Footy is family time for us so I hope they want to play for years to come. Sunday they all start the AFL season, so you won’t see me at home doing projects for a while as I’ll be sitting on a sideline every day… wouldn’t change that though! Ha!
My baby fiddle leaf (above) is thriving, but my big one has taken a turn for the worse. Slowly it’s dropping leaves and it looks terrible. I think it got a little bit too much sun and got distressed all over. Bummer! I am going to have to tuck him away out of sight (because he doesn’t look to flash sitting in the middle of my house) until he comes good. I am sure I won’t see him improve now until spring comes around again. Sad face.
Now that daylight savings has ended I don’t have to sit up in the dark for so long in the mornings. I felt like I was up for 3 hours before the sun came up. Here was yesterday’s sunrise over my back fence. Did you know that this time 3 years ago I was at the Logies and met One Direction. Talk about crazy. Oh and how reality has slapped me in the face. Hahaha. Now I rarely leave the house!
I’ve been up to my ears in craft and DIY. I have some cool Mother’s Day ideas coming up for you. I’ll be sharing those over the coming weeks. In the meantime, did you see my concrete pots yesterday? I can see by my stats that it was a popular blog post! Let me know if you give it a go…
Today I’m off to watch a full day of AFL. My big boy is doing some testing, training and games with a GWS squad. He’s having back problems at the moment too so I hope he makes it through the day without incident. I really want him to do well. He’s so pumped!
See you again soon, ♥ KC.
