Did I just not blog for a week? What the? I don’t know where those days went!! I’ve been busy with other projects which has kept me out of trouble. Plus my big boy had some sort of bug, so that throws things out a bit when someone is sick!
I’ve been working on some cool things. It’s great spending other people’s money to make things look pretty hahaha. I should be finished this short-stay unit later today. It’s an older unit above our main street, so it’s had some odd things to work with (like these weird windows!), but I love how it’s coming together. Sticking to budget too!
My garage looked like I was moving house there for a while. And the postie comes to my house every day so he must be wondering what on earth am I up to. Plus my neighbours must think I buy new stuff all day long because every time I opened my boot it was full of bags 😉
I did a little radio ad for a business…
Then amongst all that chaos with stuff in my garage I also got myself a new lounge. It was time for an update. The old one had seen its day.
It threw me off for a few days. I love it but it will take me a while to adjust. I keep walking in to the room and get a jolt like oh yeah everything has changed in here ?? I’m still deciding on cushions and forever fluffing up the space.
I am also a part of the #livefearless campaign for the month of May with Crohn’s & Colitis Australia. I’ve had Crohn’s for 22 years and have been an Ambassador for the charity over the last 5 years. I’m really passionate about making some noise for this often invisible illness. I always get “but you look good.” And a lot of the time I do feel good because I don’t let Crohn’s rule me. But it’s a daily battle. It’s not always easy, but I am pretty good at just dealing with it now.
They are getting so big!!
We all headed to Canberra for a couple of days to watch my middle boy play play a few games of rugby league for his school. I love watching him play. And of course EVERYONE in the family had to come haha. I guess that’s a good thing that they all still want to hang out with their Dad and I?!
Of course you can’t go to Canberra and NOT visit IKEA.
This is my face when my husband said no no no Katrina we’re not having a fake vertical garden ? I did try.
Hopefully next week is a little quieter and I get more time to blog. I have lots of topics in my head all the time and never enough hours to sit and write.
Hope you’re having a great weekend.
