Around here lately

G’day G’day! How are things? This morning I have woken up feeling a little lighter… like stuff has been lifted from my shoulders. The past few weeks have been cray cray and all I kept thinking about was “gotta get to Sunday” (meaning yesterday). That’s because all our sport commitments and school stuff is OVER and it’s time to wind down.

I’ve been a bit quiet lately on my blog and social media… and that’s not like me! But I’ve been like everyone at this time of the year… kids, sport, work, commitments and just general tiredness. I’ve got a few more blog posts to share over the next week and then I’m taking a break! Haven’t done that before, but I think it’s time I recharged. I’ve had 4 hospital stays/surgeries this year plus a lip surgery so I’m feeling a little shagged. I have heaps and heaps of new blog stuff for 2017 and can’t wait to get fully back in to it after a holiday. 🙂

Plus, I’ve had horrendous technical dramas with this blog. I’ve been hanging in this space for 10 years and never have I had issues like this before. For about 3 months I’ve really struggled to keep my blog online. So frustrating. You’ve probably noticed it’s been offline lots? I think I have a handle on it now, but I am making sure it’s secure this week and then I need that long awaited BREAK.

Here are some photos from my phone and Instagram which I’ve shared lately…

Crazy kids! Summer is here and our grass is back. My husband’s pride and joy 😉

A little night swim is the best. Sorry neighbours for their loud racketeering!

When I get home from hospital the first thing I do is put the chairs up. Mu husband says the bench needed hinges so I can just swing them up and down because they seem to be UP more than down. I said, well if everyone stopped EATING all the time I wouldn’t have to clean up! Ha.

I went to Swan Hill to help Karlie with her new kitchen she won through Energy Australia. I stopped passed the old haunt. No Sunday Schooies or stickers from here anymore!

We did a spot of filming on the before, went shopping for her new kitchen and then I’ll go back in the New Year to present the reveal. I’ll share all of that soon.

Love this part of the country.

Yeah, this was me AGAIN. I went down like a sad sack. I tried to stay out of the hospital and went to my GP but she sent me straight up. I had to miss out on going to Keith Urban too. I was bummed. Funniest story… I was going with my bestie and some others. However, my bestie ended up in hospital too. She was on the floor below me hahaha. So yep, we both didn’t get to see Keith. I was jealous of everyone’s photos and videos!

And this little face keeps me entertained.

Did you see this blog post about buying cushions in sets? Top idea!

I hadn’t put my tree up and my boys did it when I was in hospital. I was too sick to decorate it when I go home (and they were too lazy to go that far haha) so the poor thing sat naked for days. I kind of dazzled it up when I got home, but this years it’s pretty measly. I haven’t been bothered with the decorating and kitschy stuff this year.

I have been watching LOTS and LOTS of cricket. I do love it, and so do to the boys. But we’re officially on a break now for a couple of weeks and I am happy about that. But no doubt they’ll have me driving them to the nets every day so they can still get their fix!

Any Christmas cleaning going on in your house? I thought I’d clean just 2 windows last week, but noooooo you can’t stop there… I made a huge mess and had screens off and shutters to wipe, but it was all worth it because finally my windows look half decent again. I hadn’t clean them properly in about 2 years. I turn a blind eye to those things hahaha.

Are you all ready for Christmas? I am! For a change. All done and dusted here. Bring on the big day.

Hope you have a lovely week ahead. I’ll pop back in here to blog a little, then I’ll be off for a bit. I say that, but then who knows with me. Just playing it by ear this year and hoping to take it easy for a bit.

♥ KC.
