Hi friends! How are things with you? I’ve been cruising along here as usual with nothing overly exciting to report, but that’s good I think! We’ve been doing our normal routine and the days whizz by. The boys keep me very busy. My Mum came to visit me on Tuesday for the day and I was telling her how I feel like the days are getting shorter. By the time I drop the kids off at school it’s almost time to get them again and we usually return home, tear the pantry apart, then head off to sport until dark time. Winter just has a way or robbing me of precious hours in the day! Ha! That’s why I much prefer summer time. I’ve been wanting to go to bed at 7.30pm every night – because it’s dark at 5.20pm here and we’ve done dinner and packed up by 6pm LOL. Who else has a much earlier bed time in Winter? See, this is what everyone ends up doing by 6pm – head their devices!
It’s been freezing here. We’ve had some strange Winter snap. This morning it was -3.9 degrees! So now my lawn is dead and brown. And guess what? Andrew and Cruise are heading off camping today to Tantangara (in the Snowy Mountains!). It will be icy! I say they are crazy, but boys will be boys…
The sun light in the morning makes up for it… PS. I sanded this table back last night. Will show you that process during the week.
We’ve had a couple of road trips for kids’ sport. Best part of the country these back roads…
I managed to duck in to Target in Albury to grab this Lisa T. bag for the plant. Love it.
Big Sunday breakfast cookup and this one was stillllllll going. Slowly, slowly…
They spend a lot of time at this bench. Can’t you tell! These boys can eat 2 bbq chickens in one sitting (and I am assured it will only get worse!). Look, there’s Bear hoping to pick up something 😉
My yukka in a vase has doubled in size! Crazy!
I bought a new floor rug. It was from Harvey Norman and they had 50% off! I love it, but I still don’t think it’s the perfect rug. I am never ever fully in love with floor rugs. But this one can be easily rolled up when I am sick of it. I bought a non slip mat to go under it too because this rug sits in the room my kids hang out in (and wrestle in!).
My nephew turned 15 on Monday. Here are my 6 favourite Chambo boys. Their Dad’s are identical twins and we each have 3 boys almost born in the same years. Crazy and unplanned, but we love it that way. They are best mates. If you ask any one of them who they want to play with, or have to sleep over, they always say each other. At least they can’t get bored because they always have each other. Family holidays are fun too. They just EAT so much!
Andrew had a birthday too. Eat too much? Yep! We moaned and groaned all night. Ha!
More work around the pool. Some pavers finally went down. A deck is being built in the next 2 weeks so I’ll show you that too. Then it’s all done and ready for Summer again!
I cleaned my pool glass. Love the look of it as it doesn’t chop my yard in half. I can’t wait for bbq’s, swimming and cricket on the tv out here.
Tex has to do his First Holy Eucharist tomorrow at Church. My kids are Catholic (I am not) and I never realised there were so many stages for them to go through. With 3 kids there is a lot of Mass. I go with them and they always think it’s so strange that I don’t take the bread or wine. I was brought up Anglican and the kids always have to ask me 1000 questions about why I am not Catholic because everyone else around them is. Such funny little minds and they want to know everything. I am happy to go to Church with them (but I will get out of it if I can and palm lots to my husband haha!). When they have their own family they never know what compromises they might have to make too 🙂
Well, I am off to send some campers on their way and I think my sister Amie is coming over to see me today. That will be fun. Rug up if it’s cold where you are.
