A few weeks ago Officeworks challenged me to fulfill a project or hobby that I love. You can read it here. I was asked to think about how I might use my downtime to do something I’d been putting off for ages.
I was asked to think about how I might use my downtime to do something I’d been putting off for ages. I wanted to get my boys involved because they love technology and gadgets and being outside. My son recently purchased a GoPro HERO4 Session. This nifty little camera has awed me in its capabilities and even though he technically owns it, that doesn’t mean we all can’t share it! I love piecing videos together and so does he, so I thought that we could spend the next couple of weeks putting together some footage he’d taken. I could have just let those videos sit unedited on my computer (and most of the time time we all do!), but he’ll remember this trip away with his Dad, brothers and cousins when he looks back.
I helped him take all of the little videos and put it in to an editing program and showed him how to use it.

SanDisk 32GB Ultra MicroSDHC Memory Card – to hold lots of videos until we are ready to edit and piece the footage together. I didn’t want him to run out.
I really enjoyed this challenge. Instead of just aimlessly taking photos or videos, we made the effort to do something with them and upload them to YouTube. And not once did my son and I argue over this haha (usually we butt heads at the computer because kids know everything!). 😉
