I wanted to put barn doors on the laundry, main ba I wanted to put barn doors on the laundry, main bathroom and ensuite in this little flip house. They would save space and also add a nice feature.

I got my plasterer to square-set the doorways, then I went to a junk yard to pick up some oversized solid doors to hang. My friend @rcmwagga helped me cut them down and hang them.

I bought the tracks from eBay but I bought a new flat bar for the top and drilled holes to suit the existing studs. The tracks that come pre-drilled in a kit would only work if your door was hollow and you could use plugs to hang it. But these were heavy! I’ve got a highlight with more info on why I did this.

Then I put on some trim, painted it up and added a handle from @lemaardoorhardware available at Bunnings.

Ps. The doors cost $20 each! Then the track, trim and handle. Maybe ended up being $150 each (finished!). 😀
SWIPE ➡️ What is the cost of kitchen renovatio SWIPE ➡️ What is the cost of kitchen renovations?

• Budget kitchens and materials range from $10,000 to $25,000
• Mid-range and standard materials and kitchens range between $20,000 and $45,000
• High-end and luxury kitchens start at $45,000+

As a rule of thumb, a kitchen renovation budget should be around 3-8% of a home's value. Therefore, if your home is worth $500,000, you can safely spend between $15,000 and $40,000 without overcapitalising.

DIY vinyl flooring was worth the hassle! The old l DIY vinyl flooring was worth the hassle! The old lino (layers of it!) plus tiles had to come up. Then there was glue scraping, a jackhammer and lot of sweat (with a few tears)…. But over the course of a few weekends it finally came together. More in my highlights 😀
