Over the last couple of months I have been working on a short-stay unit in Wagga’s main street (Baylis Street). Jackie, the owner, lives in Sydney and has a brand new baby, so she emailed me and asked if I’d help get the unit ready with some styling and colour advice. This was such a fun project! I shopped local plus online to get it to all come together.
There’s actually 2 units, but one will be the usual rental and the other is the short-stay. They were pretty tired looking and needed a bit of work. Jackie is in marketing and branding, so we worked together on some ideas of what the “theme’ would be. Jackie loved the green/timber/tropical/hint of pink style. Here’s the board board I came up with initially…
I have some before and after photos to check out…
The unit needed some serious patching and painting! We decided on Natural White throughout, with a half feature wall in Billiard Green. I think the green looks much darker and richer in real life than it does in these photos. I’m not a very good photographer! Some of the professional photos I’ve stolen for this blog post were taken by Micheal Frogley.
The bathroom got new tiles, toilet and vanity.
We had to throw in a Pink Dust door!
We worked with the existing green kitchen. Not a usual colour and was a little bit of a challenge, but with some added shelves and bits and pieces I think it’s come up really well.
