My weekend in a hand-made boat

Hi! This weekend was a busy one. Today I cannot move my muscles or lift my arms! I spent yesterday doing a charity race (known as THE GUMI) in a hand-made boat. It was an upside down trampoline on tyre tubes and we had to paddle it 7kms down the Murrumbidgee River. I am always one to give things a go and when I have Amie with me, we turn in to THE most competitive people EVER! Haha…

Our job was just to beat these guys above (Brea from Beauty and The Geek, Ben and Sarah from Big Brother and Ben’s partner)… So it was game on! Amie and I had 3 kids to help us – one of mine and 2 of my nephews. Those poor kids did NOT know what hit them! They did an amazing job. Amie and I took turns swimming behind the boat as it needed steering and we could really push it. OMG it was horrendous!

Looked easy, but it wasn’t! Haha! My husband, the rest of the kids and friends were all waiting at drop points along the way. We cried and cried to crowd to please swap with us!

The glamour…

… And then, look what happened! WINNERS!

Today I licking my wounds and limping…. 😉

You are now building a collection of things that not many people will ever have.
    1: a Logie
    And now
2: a bloody (but very prestigious) WORLD GUMI Trophy

Lay on the lounge and enjoy the day. Well deserved

    Pen :)
