Mornings are fun

Don’t you just love that 10 minutes before you’re due to be in the car and on your way to school? You know, finding shoes, hats and drink bottles? Even if I make them get up early and get organised there’s still that 10 minutes before we get in the car where the screeching and chaos takes over…

I’ve decided to become really obnoxious and sit in the car with the music blaring and beeping the horn for that last 10 minutes. Try it, it’s fun.

It’ll backfire on me though when I get pulled over by the police wearing animal print pj’s, white socks, no shoes but I have my sunglasses on…

How’s your morning routine?

PS. That pedestrian crossing supervisor guy is STILL doing his stretches in the street every single day. Best part of the day is seeing him with his leg up on a railing. Life hey? Gotta love it!

I get A to unpack her bag when she gets home from school so lunch box & water bottles can be washed. I then put her lunch box & water bottle in a spot where I can pack her morning tea & lunch into it when I make it in the morning (while A is still asleep).

Once her homework is finished for the day she has to pack her school bag with the things she needs the next day if she doesnt have homework then she packs it when she gets home after unpacking it. This always gets done before she goes to sleep of a night time

Of a morning I lay out her school uniform for her (which saves her a bit of time while she is brushing her teeth)

I wake her up at 7.20am and A is ready and walking out the door to walk to school around 7.50 to 7.55am

Coop was been difficult this morning. He always puts his shoes on in the car. So I put a fake cockroach in his shoe!!! Seemingly that was a “dog act” but it brightened my morning up.

Ha ha – we only started Term 4 today – and Mr 14 (who often loses things) came sheepishly to me and said, “Mum, I can’t find my shoes.” Luckily I knew they were in the garage, where they had been dumped out of his cricket bag at the end of last term – but it is only day one! Plenty more days to come for the drama over “no socks” etc etc.

Ms Motorbike Nut – please tell me she is 7 not 17 🙂
