Last week I showed you a product I love to use for cleaning grout and it was well received so today I thought I’d show you a spray and sponge I use to keep my bench tops sparkling clean. The Diggers Multi-Purpose Surface Cleaner (with methylated spirits and vanilla) will be the cleaning product of the week. Plus it’s ALL about the sponge. It always is! I have a real thing about which sponge or cloth I use and this one below is the bees knees. My Mumma has been using them forever and so have I. Keep scrolling down and I’ll chat more about those…
You can see this bottle was empty, it was my last spray yesterday! I will have to grab some more. I switch between a few surface sprays. I do like some environmentally options too, so I will share them as the weeks go on. But this Diggers Multi-Purpose Surface Cleaner (with methylated spirits and vanilla) is a favourite. I guarantee you’ll end up with streak-free bench tops. This one can be bought at Bunnings, Officeworks, IGA, FoodWorks. It can’t be purchased (as far as I know) at the regular Woolies or Coles. It deodorises and disinfects, plus will easily remove sticky stuff on your benches. It comes in a lavender scent too. Yes, you can also smell a hint of metho too.
Let’s talk about these sponges below…
I promise these are the best sponges ever. The selling point is that they have 100% NATURAL CELLULOSE FIBRE in them. That’s what makes them the best. They will be streak-free I promise. They are so good I even use them to wipe over mirrors and windows sometimes. Just wring it out good and wipe away. I have packets of these in my home. Like I said earlier I wouldn’t use another cloth or sponge again. Sometimes I whack it in the microwave for 2 minutes to kill any germs if it’s still got life in it. They aren’t expensive though, but I like to get good use out of them.
There are a few brands of these sponges around. It won’t matter what brand you use (these are from Aldi), as long as they have the 100% NATURAL CELLULOSE FIBRE you’re good to go. Coles and Woolies have their own too.
And that’s how I keep my benches nice and sparking clean every day. With 3 boys I need them to be free of mess and germs to keep up with our 8 rounds of food a day 😉
Happy cleaning! ♥ KC.
