I’m back… 10 things about my holiday, NEW HOUSE and blog changes…

I’m back!

I missed you guys. I hated not blogging actually.

Phew. What an exhausting but fun little break I had. I’ll tell you more about that when I can get myself (and my gazillion photos) together.

10 things about my week:

1. I ate prawns.

2. I got to see A-M and her gorgeous family (plus Penny dropped by!). A-M bought my kids nerf guns and all our 5 boys got along so well!

3. I saw the Jabbawockeez (my boys saw them TWICE!). If you’ve never heard of them do yourself a favour and YouTube them NOW! I was so impressed. My kids now want to be hip-hop dancers.

4. I stayed at my favourite place – Jupiters Casino.

5. I went on a waterslide – I called it the “colonic irrigation ride”. Enough said.

6. Kids are always little turds (actually I called them worse under my breath but this is a family blog!) on the long trip home.

7. And when these children are being turds in the car for the last stretch and make you scream and yell, you end up with a speeding ticket after Police jump out of the bushes and chase you down.

8. I played air hockey against my husband. Best out of 7 was the winner. It was 6-6. The pressure was on… he got the last point. Bummer. I’m going to practice now!

9. We spent $700 on maxi-taxis. Should have hired a bus for all of us.

10. Our luggage was 9kg over on the trip home. Amie and I carried our dirty undies, socks and stinky clothes in plastic see-through bags on the plane home to avoid an extra $130 charge. Everyone was staring at us. People wanted to talk to us about The Block. We stood there smiling with smelly clothes in our hands… We’re all class…

Today I am up early and in to it. I think I’m picking up the Ford Territory I am lucky enough to drive for the next month thanks to you guys for voting me in to the Top 5 Bloggers via Kidspot.

I’m also finalising my NEW HOUSE plans. All the planets have finally aligned and I am ready to get this baby going. Reckon I can be in it before Christmas? Jode, what do you think? Haha! Ok, Jodi’s husband is my builder. Poor Quinny doesn’t know what he’s in for. Does he really want to deal with me?? :)

This means my blog will have some changes too over the coming weeks (apologies if you haven’t been able to comment for a week – I’ve just found out!!!). I’m building a new house afterall, so I need to share all of that with you. It’ll be you guys who will make all my decisions!

I’m also throwing it out there to the Universe if you’re a supplier, tradie, or whatever who wants to contribute to my house, there will be some great promotional opportunities for you via my blog and other social media. I’m happy to share my readers with you. Email me now! ;)

Have a great Monday! X

Earlier this week I had BMX boys, now I have Scooter boys!

They are definitely ’boy’ boys. There is no tying this lot down. They have to be on the go constantly. My husband took them to a skate park during the week and he actually took these photos. Pretty good.

Today my eldest had a few lines to say at a prayer service at his school. I sat up the back all choked up. He doesn’t normally get up and do these sorts of things so I was very proud.

Tomorrow I am shopping with a girl who won a competition I was involved in to win a room makeover. We’re finally doing all the purchasing tomorrow. Exciting!

Then I will race to the footy oval where my boys play their first NRL game of the season. Last season my son broke his arm while I was on The Block, so I missed seeing him play as he was out for the whole season. My 2nd son played last year too and he was sensational so can’t wait for his return tomorrow. My 3rd son just skips around and doesn’t listen (typical baby of the family! ;) ). I doubt he’ll play. That doesn’t matter! He is only 5, so next year we can try again if he doesn’t want to play tomorrow.

Next week I’m heading on a little holiday with the family. Can’t wait for that!

What’s on for your weekend?

It was an ordinary weekend

There is a suburb opening up behind us and we thought we’d take the kids for a look around. They grabbed their bikes and husband and I headed off on foot with out little doggie.

The fresh roads and no cars made this ‘bike track’ the best fun ever, so the boys said.

Yes, I always have an extra big kid on my hands who swaps with the 10 year old…

Not without an injury of course…

The back-end of my pooch and I…

The Chambo’s gang.

It was a lovely afternoon here in Wagga Wagga. A quiet day. A far cry from the events of the weekend before.

I spent the weekend ‘working’. Sometimes it’s the only time I get! A new website went live, a couple of blogs were finished and I have started so many more. I am grateful The Media Maid is doing so well. My husband thinks I need to employ people seriously… Hmm.. I’m not sure as it means a huge step!

School is back today, school is back today, school is back today! Do you think I am excited?! Oh boy, the last week has been hard work with them. Back to some routine.

Today I am having a photo-shoot for the Wagga Gold Cup Races wearing some cute outfits. Speaking of clothes, I picked up this trench coat yesterday from Portmans. Will be perfect to wear with everything all Winter long.

Ok, gotta run. School lunches to makes, shirts to iron and hair and make-up to be done…

Do you know how many times a day I say “stop touching your _____”?

I’m probably going to get some not-so-normal readers from this title, but this is what my post is all about today…

I have 3 boys, so a lot of good blog fodder can come from my little people. Nothing is bland and boring in our house. There is plenty to share.

I probably say “stop touching your doodle” more than anything else. If I had a dollar for every time I said it, I’d be rich and I wouldn’t be blogging ;) I’d be on a yacht somewhere…

Oh where we we…

They cannot stop. Seriously. They can’t! It drives me mental. I’m either saying it, or grabbing their hand and moving it away from that area. They cannot watch tv with their hands by their side. I’m sure they sleep with their hands on it.

The little people in this house are obsessed with their bits.

I’m forever saying: stop touching, wash your hands, did you wash it, did you wipe it, who did this on the floor…

It doesn’t stop even when they are adults hey?

What IS the fascination? I don’t get it!

Somehow I was blessed with 3 little ‘hands-on’ boys. Don’t they say you’re given what you can handle?

Far out brussle sprout, I’m not sure I can handle this for the next 15 years until they move out…

Don’t tell me – I know it only gets worse. ;)

Have a great day! X

My little Melbourne Storm boys

Today was “wear your footy colours” to school. It’s the last day of term for us, so they were excited…

But I’m pretty sure you can see that there is one child in this photo who is really happy with the world. Actually I have no idea what it was over, but booooy, could I have slapped him (ok, I’m not really going to slap him, but I am awesome at yelling and threatening to do it). Pushing my buttons, I tell you. Best dressed child who misses out on nothing! Anyway, I’m laughing now because I now have THE best photo of him to show him this ugly face. Sucked in I say to the little turd. ;)

But gee do I love them. They really wind me up, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Easter Bunny is coming to our house, they’re going camping and fishing, we’re going out for lunch…. what a great weekend ahead. I can’t wait until my husband is home this evening. He needs the break. He works like a dog. I don’t think anyone works harder than him. Truly. Even last night when I was tearing in to him (over nothing!), I stopped myself and apologised… he works freaking hard to pay for those Melbourne Storm jumpers that the smiling 10 year old is displaying (ungrateful turd – oh, I said that already :) )

This weekend, we’ll reflect and feel grateful. I’m gonna make those kids be grateful. That’s my mission! My brother is also moving to England on Monday so it’s all about family time.

Have a great Easter break people! X
