Floor Plan Friday: 4 bedroom home with study nook and triple car garage

floor-plan

Hi there! Here’s a non-fancy 4 bedroom home with study nook and triple car garage which would fit on a reasonably narrow block of land. The master is on the rear of the house with some steps down, so it could work on a sloped block too. I really like how the main focus of the house is out the back where the decking wraps around the entire area.

The access from the garage to the kitchen area is a bit weird where you have to pass that 3rd bedroom then swing in to the dining. I’d tweak that a bit and try and incorporate a bigger pantry if possible.

Bedroom 4 is away from the rest of the rooms with its own ensuite, which would be great for guests (or a teenager!).

I like that sunken living area too.

I found the plan here (you can see the raised ceiling and windows in a sketch), or check out all of my other favourite floor plans over here. Be warned there are pages of them ha!

I have styling services too if you need a hand sorting through your own house build.

Happy Friday ♥ KC.

I really like this. I’d change the ensuite for bed 4 to a walk in pantry off the kitchen. A slight adjustment to the garage and a nice mud room/drop zone could work. Other than that, it would be close to perfect for us

I love this floor plan but don’t like the idea of the 4th bedroom ( a child’s bedroom for us) being next to the front door. I’d move the garage over next to the front door , with internal access in the entry hall and put the 4th bedroom at the end of the “bedroom hall” feels safer to me 🙂

Yep definitely needs a bigger pantry and a closer entry to the kitchen from the garage. I love the study nook and media room (I’d have it has a rumpus room) and are those storage cupboards on either side of the WIR in Bed 1? LOVE that idea!

I’m not too sure on this one. I would want the kitchen and dining where the master is, but not sure where the master would then go? Agree that the access from the garage needs tweaking. They are nice sized rooms throughout though.

I hate kitchens with no adjacent windows (I hate open kitchens generally). Love that the living room is at the back though.

It’s lovely but we forgot the clothet !! But in general I like it very much. Something like this may need about 1000 m2 to fell the spirit.
