Written because I’m a Top 5 Blogger and I want to win this car!
As a part of the 4 week challenge I have been given a nifty Ford Territory to ride around in. My boys are being really really ridiculous about it. They think I’ve won the Lotto. Seriously! But I’m already over their fighting about who is sitting where. This baby is a 7 seater so it’s musical chairs. If you were watching us at school pick-up yesterday I do apologise for their behaviour. I have NO idea how I am going to give this car back.
This car is brand spanking new! I’ve never had a brand brand brand new car before…
I grabbed a coffee as soon as I got it and headed straight to school. I was early so I sat in the carpark and fiddled with all the gadgets. I’ve never had a car with bluetooth so I kept ringing my husband from the car to annoy him!
It’s got leather, 7 seats and a freaking DVD player. Yep, they watched Open Season 2 with headphones on as we drove around…
Look at us – we’re kissing it and hugging it. You’ll be forced to peel us off it when the 4 weeks is up! We drove around for about 2 hours yesterday haha!
Anyway, my first challenge is to write about a Passenger – If you could have any passenger (famous, non-famous, dead or alive) sitting beside you for a road trip, who would you pick and why?
Hmmm…. so many people came to mind.
I was going to say Jessica Simpson so I could take her on a bumpy ride through the Wagga Wagga Wilderness and shake that baby out, but darn it, she FINALLY popped last week.
Then I thought I would take Britney Spears for a spin. I have always had a ‘thing’ for her. She’s a bit trashy, a bit of a bogan… a bit like me I guess
I asked my husband who he would take. He said “Lara Bingle” without 1 second of hesitation. He really has an unnatural obsession with her. *shaking my head*
BUT… I decided on Hamish & Andy…
I know, I know, that’s not a big surprise! I wasn’t taking someone with me that you’ve never even heard of! I wanted to make you all green with envy.
Now, why would I take them?
1. I wouldn’t need the radio on.
2. We could broadcast their show from my Ford Territory. Plenty of room for the production crew in the back (or on the roof racks).
3. We could get people to call the car phone instead of the station.
4. We could make the trip a bit like a GAP YEAR, but not a year (because I think my husband would divorce me).
5. Because they are recognised everywhere, I would be their ultimate wingman and everyone would want to be me.
6. We could mount a camera to the dash sing 90s pop songs for the entire trip (I know they love Vengaboys). Then we could have our own YouTube channel.
7. We could pick up a ‘guest’ along the way to spice it up.
8. I guess Zoe could come, but she’d have to sit in the back #jokes
Who would you take on a road trip anywhere and why?
Don’t forget you have to VOTE for me again! You’ll get a second entry in to the draw to win $5,000 cash for yourself. So hop on over… Pleeeease xo

Great post! I’ve had my first belly laugh for the day. Love the you and the kids draped all over the car. Can I sit in the back with Zoe and listen to you three rabbit on?
A-M xx

Ha so funny. I’ve been doing exactly that all week in my first ever brand new car. Calling using blue tooth because I can – poor husband just gets calls because I want to use it. I have also taken to deep inhalation as it get into the car and smell the new car smell. Divine.
Good idea with Hamish & Andy. You could drop Zoe off here and I could get some private make up lessons while you are away

I am soo jealous – I checked out the new Ford Territory a couple of months ago and although I love love love my 98 Ford Territory the leather seats, inbuilt DVD playler has me lusting after it! I want it and my husband thinks I am a little crazy for wanting to upgrade our car for basically the same car but oh how nice is it! Have fun, I am sure you won’t be wanting to give it back either. I must admit Hamish and Andy are a good choice but I am a little mre partial to Fibi and Jules too – Imagine all 4 of them in the car!!

Loved this post. it gave me a chuckle. I can picture me and my children hugging that car just like you and yours.
You lucky girl. Enjoy! Perhaps now would be a great time to hastily take a four at week trip around Australia?

We were very lucky a couple of months back and my husband got a new Territory as his work car. Totally get the kids fighting over the seats! It is still driving us nuts. I feel like a chauffer when I drive it because we ussually have one child in the back and one in the back back. On the positive side though, it has stopped them fighting as they have a whole seat to themselves! I love driving it. It is so easy to drive for a big car. Who would I take in the car with me? Hmmm. I would take Dale from The Block – We taped it the other night when they were driving back from Ballarat and when he sang that song about Dan and Dani, we thought it was the funniest thing ever. He could sing funny songs to the radio and keep me amused. And I wouldn’t mind a bit of Keith Urban in the car too. Nicole can go in the back – the back back.

Loved your hilarious blog today!!! Loved your pics!! We did the same when we got our brand new Prado a couple of years ago.
I would have to take Keith Urban definatly!! Hubby, kids & Nicole can ride in the back & he can sing to me sitting in the front seat.lol…..”SIGH”!!!!! My hubby would take Miranda Kerr, because that’s his new wife when we get divorced, so he tells me!!

We always take Hamish and Andy on road trips! We download their podcasts and the whole family – oldies and teenagers both – all love listening to them.

You’re enthusiasm makes me smile so much my face hurts.
My sister is BFF with Zoe, so I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with Zoe and Hamish (no Andy, alas) and you’ve made a wise choice. He’s hilarious in the flesh, but so charming and down to earth.
Now we just need to make it REALLY happen! x
