Today is one of the best days of the year. Australia Day! This is like the American 4th of July.
I love this day. And I love living in Australia.
First we are off to see my father-in-law win a very special award here.
Then we are spending the day bbq-ing traditional Aussie style with friends, swimming, wearing thongs (flip flops) and will be using phrases like:
Beauty mate.
Where’s the booze?
I need another snag from the barbie.
I love your boardies. I might pop my cozzie on and have a dip.
Fair dinkum??
I even have the Australian Flag in the shape of a love heart as my wallpaper on my mobile phone – have had it for years! Yes, we are the very typical Aussie family and I couldn’t wish for anything else!

PS. Thanks for all your comments yesterday on my little man. We spent some time discussing things and he apologised and went to be without a fuss. Gotta love those kids! They know how to push your buttons, but I would go to the end of the world for them.
